WHEREAS, many citizens in St. Paul are in immediate need of emergency
food services, and
WHEREAS, established throughout St. Paul are seventeen distribution
centers for emergency food needs, and
WHEREAS, these food shelves are in desperate need of replenishment,
now thexefore be it
RESOLVED, that the St. Paul City Council declare October 19-25, 1981,
as "Harvest fox the Hungry" week in St. Paul, and be it further
RESOLVED, that the City Council strongly encourages all segments of
our citizenry to assist the food shelves in St. Paul in the collection
of food to xeplenish this vitally impoxtant resource many citizens
so desperately need, and be it finally
RESOLVED, that the City Council transmit a copy of this resolution
to the Community Food and Nutxition Program of Ramsey Action Programs.
