your project originate from the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation and the US Department of
Justice there are certain conditions and restriction on the use of these funds. Minnesota Join
Toaether also has a few expectations of its grantees. We hope these aze manageable. If these
expectations are not acceptable to you, please let us know and we can discontinue your Funding

EXPECTATIONS OF MINNESOTA TOIN TOCETHER GRANTEES
PURPOSE. The grant shall be used exclusively for the purposes•specified in the gra�tee's
mini-grant proposal. The timeline for this project is May 1, 2000 — November 1, 200�.
USE OF FUNDS. No part of the grant shall be used to carry on propaganda or otherwise
attempt to influence legislation (within the meaning of Section 4945(d)(1) of the Internal Revenue
Code), or to attempt to influence the outcome of any specific public election.
R�PORTS. Narrative and financial progress reports shall be fumished to Minnesota Join
Together on or before August 15, 2000. Narrative and financial final reports are due no later than
November 30, 2000. We ue enclosing nanative forms for you to use when you file these reports.
The financial reports shall show actua] expenditures as of the date of the report against the
approved line items in your application budgei. These repocts aze the primary way we aze able to
telLthe "stories" these projects generate.
CONIPLIANCE CHECK GRANTS. Compliance check data sha11 be reported on the
enclosed compliance check database forms and sent to MJT with the other reports when they aze
due.
EVALUATION. We may be conducting an evaluation of the Year 4 Mini Grant program.
Additionally, some projects may be selected for a more in depth evaluation. We expect your
