RESOLVED, That upon execution and delivery of a release in full
to the City, in a form to be approved by the City Attorney, the
proper City officers are hereby authorized and directed to pay
out of the Tort Liability Fund 09070-511-000 , to:
l . Charles A. Mizia the sum of $635.49 in full settlement of
his claim of damages sustained on or about October 13, 1981, �
as more particularly set out in the Notice of Claim filed in �
the City Clerk 's office on October 27, 1981.
2 . Mary DeLaForest the sum of $50 .Q0 in full settlement of her �
claim of damages sustained on or about October 10 , 1981, as !
more particularly set out in the Notice of Claim filed in the
City Clerk 's office on October 22 , 1981.
3. David Friedl and Darleen Friedl the sum of $249 .85 in full �
settlement of their claim of damages sustained on or about i
August 28, 1981, as more particularly set out in the Notice
of Claim filed in the City Clerk 's office on September 29,
1981.
4 . Timothy Regan, the sum of $155.52 in full settlement of his
claim of damages sustained on or about August 13, 1981, as ,
more particularly set out in the Notice of Claim filed in
the City Clerk 's office on September 14 , 1981.

M E M O R A N D U M
CLAIMS AGAINST CITY OF SAINT PAUL BY
CHARLES A. MIZIA; MARY DeLaFOREST;
DAVID FRIEDL AND DARLEEN FRIEDL; and
TIMOTHY REGAN
Claimant, Charles A. Mizia, was involved in an automobile accident
with a City of Saint Paul, Department of Community Services , vehicle
on October 13, 1981 . Driver of the City vehicle was Donald G.
McNaughton. Expenses are for the repair of the damaged vehicle.
This office approves the settlement of Mr. Mizia 's claim in the
amount of $635 .49 .
Claimant, Mary DeLaForest, requests reimbursement for extra towing
fees she had to pay and also the storage fee at the Saint Paul
Police Department Impound Lot on October 10 , 1981. Ms . DeLaForest
was involved in an automobile accident and when the tow truck
arrived she asked the police officer to have her car towed to
her home instead of the impound lot. The officer stated that that
couldn't be done . She then followed the tow truck to the impound
lot and they released her car immediately to her. She had to hire
another tow truck to take her car to her house. This office approves
the settlement of Ms . DeLaForest 's claim in the amount of $50 .00 .
Claimants , David Friedl and Darleen Friedl , request reimbursement
for damages to their automobile which occurred on August 28 , 1981,
near Westminster and Wheelock Parkway. The police were behind
their car during the Lopez incident and put scratches in the car
from the broken glass when they brushed it off . This office
appvoes the settlement of their claim in the amount of $249 .85 .
Claimant, Timothy Regan, was involved in an automobile accident
on August 13, 1981, with a City of Saint Paul , Department of
Community Services , vehicle . The City vehicle was driven by
David C. Cavegn. Expenses are for the repair of the damaged
vehicle. This office approves the settlement of Mr. Regan's
� claim in the amount of $155 .52 .
