General Statement of Duties: Performs skilled trade work in the installa- '
tion, service and maintenance of all heatiag and cooling Pneumatic/Electric
Control Systems and component parts; performs regular pipefitter duties in
the repair, maintenance, modification and installation of steam piping, cool�ng
circulation systems and steam and hot water heating systems and component
units; and performs related duties as required. '
Supervision Received: Works under the general supervision of a trade foreman ,
or unit super�isor. '
Supervision Exercised: May exercise close technical supervisfon directly over '
apprentices or helpers.

ACTION REQUESTED
We reco�nend your approval and submission of this Resolution to the City Council.
PURPOSE AND RATIONALE FOR THIS ACTION
This Resolution esta.blishes the tit].e and class specification for Pipefitter -
Controls Specialist in Secti.on 3.A (Bua.lding Trades - Ungraded), Subsection
15 (Pipefitters), in the Civil Service Rules.
This class wi11 be used by Independent School District No. 625 to provide
preventive maintenance, adjustment and repai r se rvice s to pneumati.c
heati.ng and cooling controls.
FINANCIAZ IMPACT
The wage rate will be the same as the Journeyman Pipefitter rate. The
only current need for this title i s for the School Di strict.
