RESOLVED, That upon execution and delivery of a release in full
to the City, in a form to be approved by the City Attorney, the
proper City officers are hereby authorized and directed to pay
out of the Tort Liability Fund 09070-511-000 , to:
1 . Mrs . Peter DeMaio, Jr. the sum of $562. 34 in full settlement
of her claim of damages sustained on or about August 28 , 1981
as more particularly set out in the Notice of Claim filed in
the City Clerk's office on October 13, 1981. I
2. Louis J. Higbee the sum of $184 .00 in full settlement of his � I
claim of damages sustained on or about September 8 , 1981, as
more particularly set out in the Notice of Claim filed in
the City Clerk's office on September 23, 1981.

CLAIMS AGAINST CITY OF SAINT PAUL
BY MRS . PETER DeMAIO, JR. AND '
LOUIS J. HIGBEE '
Claimant , Mrs . Peter DeMaio, Jr. , requests reimbursement for
damage to her household furnishings which occurred when the
City of Saint Paul, Department of Police , set up a command !,
post in her home at 330 East Wheelock Parkway on August 28, ,i
1981, for an incident that was taking place at 1621 Westminster �
Street. Mrs . DeMaio allowed the police to set up a command in !
her house and as a result her carpet was soiled and deep ,
scratches were put in a table. Also damaged during the incident �
was a car windshi�ld and her lawn. This office approves the '
settlement of Mrs . DeMaio 's claim in the amount of $562 . 34 .
Claimant, Louis J. Higbee , requests reimbursement for damage to I
his automobile which occurred when a City of Saint Paul , Depart-
ment of Police, vehicle rolled backward and struck Mr. Higbee 's
vehicle which was parked at the time . The Police vehicle was �
unoccupied at the time and was in the park gear. This office �,
approves the settlement of Mr. Higbee 's claim in the amount of '
$184 .00 . �!
