CLAIMS AGAINST CITY OF SAINT PAUL
BY JO5EPH F. FEHR AND ROBERT HEILLE
J( Claimant, Joseph F . Fehr, was invol.ved in an automobile accident
with a City of Saint Paul, Department of Police, vehicle on
May 7, 1981. The police vehicle was driven by Glen Thomas Roeder.
Expenses are for the repair of the deamaged vehicle. This office
approves the settlement of Mr. Fehr's claim in the amount of ,
$220 .00 .
Claimant, Robert Heille, requests reimbursement for a knife that
he claims the City of Saint Paul , Department of Police, lost.
Mr. Heille was involved in a fight and the knife was taken at that
time. The police officers involved did not charge anyone at the
time but kept the knife. The knife was given to Officer Tim Lynch
who says that instead of turning the knife in to the property room
he took it to Mr. Heille 's home ,to return it to him. Finding no
one home at the time, Officer Lynch claims he put the knife into
the mail slot in the screen door because the screen door was locked.
Mr. Heille claims he never received the knife. This office approves
the settlement of Mr. Heille 's claim in the amount of $20 .00 .
