Nev�rtihe- less , a Certificate of Occupancy had been issued. She reported �Cha� there had been substantial improvements made in recent years , deconvertin� from five units to three , and a general upgrading of the units . She suggested that the living room area be used for sleeping instead of the prese�t use, there being a larger window suitable for escape purposes there. rir. There was no space� for a tub or shower, but there was a shower in the basement for the tenant�s exclusive use. He rented only to one person in the unit becau�e zt was so small. He was complying with all remaining work orders listed i,n the city's letter of 5/26/81. - _ . - BOARD ACTION: Chairman Knutson moved that a variance of Section S4. II e granted to permit. occupancy of apartment where the bathroom la�ked bathing facilities , on condition that the unit never be rented to more than one person and that all remaining items listed in the city`s letter of 5/26/81 be completed by December 1, 1981. He said his tenant there had lived in the unit for the last 15 years and did not find the lack of a handsink to be an inconvenience.
