WHEREAS , the Commissioner of Transportation for the State of
Minnesota has prepared: plans, special provisions, and specifi-
cations for the improvement of Trunk Highway No. 104 ,392 , renumbered
as Trunk Highway No. 5 , 94 , within the corporate limits of the City
of St. Paul , from 500 feet north of Pine St. to Mounds Blvd.
and seeks the approval thereof:
NOW, THEN, BE IT RESOLVED that said plans and special provisions
for the improvement of said Trunk Highway within said corporate
limits of the City, be and hereby are approved including the
elevations and grades as shown and consent is hereby given to any
and all changes in grade occasioned by said construction.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City does hereby agree to require
the parking af all vehicles, if such parking is permitted within
the corporate limits of said City, on said Trunk Highway, to be
parallel with the curb adjacent to the highway, and at least 20
feet from any crosswalks on all public streets intersecting said
trunk highway.

City Council on August 31, 1978. The original contract letting date of March,
1980 has been rescheduled for September 4 , 1981. Construction. wauld be in in
early spring of 1982, The contract allows 300 wdrking days for complet' on of
the project. The Engineer' s estimate for this contract is $8,200,000.
FINANCIAI, IMPACT. The construction project is to be funded with
' State and Federal Funds. The City previously acquired the R/W
easements with $65,000 of Municipal State Aid Funds. .
