M E M O R A N D U M
CLAIMS AGAINST CITY OF SAINT PAUL
BY EDWARD R. GODBOUT AND KEITH J. GOAR
Claimant, Edward R. Godbout, requests reimbursement for the loss
of his baseball mitt which was stolen from his car while t�e car
was the the Saint Paul Impound Lot. Mr. Godbout 's car was taken
to the Impound Lot after being validly towed by the Saint Paul
Police Department. This office approves the settlement of
Mr. Godbout's claim in the amount of $30 .00 .
Claimant, Keith J. Goar, requests reimbrusement for a Box Elder
tree which was removed by a City of Saint Paul , Forestry Depart-
m�ent, crew sometime during October or November, 1980 . The crew
was on Mr. Goar's property at 610 Otis Avenue to remove a dis- '
eased Elm tree and at the same time removed the Box Elder tree,
which was not diseased, in error. Mr. Goar was asking somewhere
in the vicinity of $900 to replace the Box Elder tree. We
reached an equitable agreement with Mr. Goar, through the help ,
of Seefert's Hudson Road Nurs�ry, to replace the damaged Box
Elder tree with trees to Mr. Goar's liking for a total cost of
$460 .00 . This office approves the settlement of this claim in
the amount of $460 .00 .
