An admini strative Re solution amending the Civil
Service Rules concerning promotion requirements.
RESOLVED, that the Civil Service Rules be amended in Section
14 so that the second paragraph of Subsection 3 shall read as follows:
"He/she must have held a Classified position or positions for not less
than two years immediately preceding the examination date and sha11
have actually served for at least twelve months during the Lwo-year
periodTt provided, however, that any employee qualified except that
he/she has served less than the required 12 months because of layoff
shall nevertheless be qualified if he/she has been employed for a period
immediatel recedin the examination of two ears lus such time as
he she was on layoff, and has actually served for at least 12 months
durin� such pe riod. "
