WHEREAS, interested c ' tizens have organized to preserve
the Pig� s Eye area and hav proposed that it be turned over
for regional park use; and
" WHEREAS, the area is he site of Pig' s Eye Lake, the
well known Pig� s Eye heron and egret rookery, and the last
home of Pierre "Pig� s Eye" Parrant, an infamous early
settler of Saint Paul, who e name has long been associated
with the area, now, theref re, be it
RESOLVED, that should the area popularly referred to
as "Pig' s Eye�' become a re ional park, the Couneil of the
City of Saint Paul recomme ds that its official name be
Pierre ��Pig' s Eye" Parrant Park.
