RESOLVED, That upon execution and delivery of a release in full
to the City, in a form to be approved by the City Attorney, the
proper City officers are hereby authorized and directed to pay
out of the Tort Liability Fund 09070-511-000 , to:
l. North.ern States Power Company the sum of $74 . 80 in full
settlement of its claim of damages sustained on or about
November 4 , 1981, as more particularly set out in the
Notice of Claim filed in the City Clerk 's office on
January 7 , 1982 .
2. GM Properties the sum of $1,703.76 in full settlement of
its claim of damages sustained on or about August, 1981,
as more particularly set out in the Notice of Claim filed
in the City Clerk 's office on October 21, 1981.
3. Wendlian Guzman the sum of $65.00 in full settlement of her
claim of damages sustained on or about August 10 , 1981, as �
more particularly set out in the Notice of Claim filed in
the City Clerk's office on August 19 , 1981.

M E M O R A N D U M
CLAIMS AGAINST CITY OF SAINT PAUL
BY NORTHERN STATES POWER COMPANY,
GM PROPERTIES , AND WENDLIAN GUZMAN
Claimant, Northern States Power Company, requests reimbursement
for damages to a gas service at 1943 Summit on November 4, 1981.
The damages were done by a City of Saint Paul, Department of
Public Works , sewer maintenance crew and has been confirmed by
Gary Erichson, Sewer Maintenance Engineer. This office approves
the settlement of Northern States Power Company 's claim in the
amount of $74 . 80 .
Glaimant, GM Properties , requests reirnbursement for damages to
a sewer connection to their property at 677 Sherburne. The damage
to the sewer connection occurred in 1980 with the construction of
the St. Anthony Hill Sewer Rehabilitation project. The damage was
not discovered until August, 1981 . According to Larry Lueth,
Assistant Construction Engineer for the City of Saint Paul , Depart-
ment of Public Works the sewer service was not shown on the plans
given to the contractor on the project. This office approves the
settlement of GM Properties ' claim in the amount of $1,703 .76 .
Claimant, Wendlian Guzman, was involved in an automobile accident
with a City of Saint Paul, Department of P:ublic Works , vehicle on
August 10 , 1981. Driver of the City vehicle was Marlowe R.
Schultz , Jr. Expenses are for the repair of the damaged vehicle.
This office approves the settlement of Ms . Guzman's claim in the
amount of $65.00 .
