00-531ORiGINAL RESOLUTION CITY OF SAINT PAUL, MINNESOTA Presented By Referred To Council File # 00 - .$�'3 ` Green Sheet # ( O� d� Committee: Date 1 WHEREAS, in 1972, pursuant to City Charter § 15.03 and the recommendation of the Board of 2 Water Commissioners of the City of St. Paul ("Board"), the St. Paul City Council passed 3 a Resolution in Council File No. 259140 which authorized citizen members of the Board to be 4 compensated $25.00 a day, for each day ar any part thereof that they met in their official capacity 5 as members of the Boazd; and 6 7 WHEREAS, in 1986, the Council passed a Resolufion in Council File No. 86-1146 which 8 increased the compensation $50.00 a day; and 10 WIIEREAS, No change in compensation has occurred since 1986, and the expenses incurred by 11 the citizen members of the Board in attending Boazd meetings has increased and the types of 12 required meetings has increased; now, therefore, be it 13 14 15 16 17 18 19 21 RESOLVED, That based upon the Board's recommendation in Boazd Resolution No. 4709, the compensation provided to a citizen member of the Board shall be increased to $100.00 per day, for each day or any part thereof for which a citizen member meets in his or her official capacity as a member of the Board, as well as for each official meeting as specifically authorized by the Board which the citizen member attends as the Board's designated representative.
