WHEREAS, Raymond G. Glumack, a life-long Minnesota resident, is the Executive
Director of the Metropolitan Airports Commission; and
WHEREAS, Raymond G. Glumack is completing his 43rd consecutive year in aviation
covering a variety of positions, including naval aviator with the rank of captain; and
WHEREAS, Raymond G. Glumack was recently elected President of the Airport
Operators Council International (A.O.C.I. ); and
WHEREAS, Raymond G. Glumack, in his new position as A.O.C.I. President, heads
an organization whose member airports are located in every populated continent,
enplanes 75% of the world's total airline traffic, and is recognized as the largest
and most-influential airport organization in the world; and
WHEREAS, Raymond G. Glumack, in his various aviation, community, and civic
capacities, has consistently demonstrated a sincere , dedicated, and professional
commitment in dealing with numerous complex problems; and
WHEREAS, Raymond G. Glumack's diligent and tireless efforts have benefited,
enhanced, and strengthened the quality of life for thousands of people; so,
therefore, be it
RESOLVED, that this Council , on its own behalf and on behalf of the people of
St. Paul , extends to Raymond G. Glumack its profound congratulations and good luck
for a successful term as President of A.O.C.I. ; and be it
FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Mayor, City Council , and the City of St. Paul
expresses its appreciation, gratitude, and thanks to Raymond G. Glumack, and
sends best wishes to Ray, his wife, Mary, children, and grandchildren, for many
additional years of good health and productive service to the public.
