Flynn �� Assistant City Att DATE: November 9, 1982 RE: Claim against the City of Saint Paul by Kathryn M. Lawler On August 21, 1979, Kathryn Lawler was a passenger in an MTC bus which was struck by a St. Paul city garbage truck. At a previous trial it was determined that the City was 100% liable. Ms . Lawler suffered a fracture of the left scapula, four broken ribs and a contusion to the heart. She has continued to have difficulties as a result of these injuries and her physicians were going to testify that she has a permanent disability. We ha.ve agreed to settle the case for $22 ,500.
