RESOLVED� that upon execution and delivery of a release
in full to the City of Saint Paul, the proper City off icers
are hereby authorized and directed to pay out of the Tort
Liability Fund 09070-511-000 to Mike Corbey the sum of $525.00
in full settlement for his claim for damages sustained August 11�
1981, when his garage at 606 Case Avenue was sprayed with an
asphalt or oily substance by a city crew.

RE: Claim against the City of Saint Paul
by Mike Corbey
The plaintiff ' s �arage was damaged on Augu st 11, 1981, when a
City vehicle accidently sprayed an asphalt or oily ma.terial
on it.
The initial claim was in the amount of $780.80, but in talking
to Dave Nelson of the Valuations Department, we arrived at a
figure of $529.60 which is what his best estima.te would be of
the cost to replace the damaged siding and to repaint the garage.
This office recommends settlement in the amount of $525.
