LINDELL, RICHARD EMER, KAREN MERGEN, AND BETTY L. CHA.DWICK Claimant, James E. Lindell, requests the reimbursement of the money he paid to get his automobile out of the Saint Paul Impound Lot. Mr. Lindell 's vehicle was towed on September 6 , 1982 , when it was parked in a no parking zone on the Midway Parking Service Drive. Upon checking the area, it was found that several no park- ing signs were missing and Mr. Lindell was unaware that the area was posted for no parking. This office approves the settlement of Mr. Lindell 's claim in the amount of $43.00 . Claimant, Richard Emer, requests reimbursement for damages to his automobile which were incurred as a result of an accident with a City of Saint Paul, Department of Fire and Safety Services vehicle on July 28 , 1982 . The City vehicle was being driven by Joseph H . Gruber. While Mr. Gruber was backing up the fire rig on a dead end street, the rig hit the rear of Mr. Emer's vehicle. This office approves the settlement of Mr. Emer's claim in the amount of $145.00 . On July 25, 1982, claimant, Karen Mergens , parked her vehicle near Concord and State Streets . While parking her vehicle, she struck a curb iron which was sticking out from the curb about 12 to 2 feet. This iron punctured her tire and damaged it in the amoutn of $54 .64. This office approves the settlement of Ms . Mergens ' claim in the amount of $54 .64 . On June 3 , 1982 , claimant, Betty L. Chadwick, locked her keys in her vehicle and called the Saint Paul Police Department. An officer came to the scene and didn't warn Ms . Chadwick that her lock could be broken in the process of opening it. The officer did break the lock and it cost $10 .00 to have it repaired. This office approves the settlement of Ms .
