As we discussed, the bond of Indemnity should be for $26,500. Which is double the amount due on your bonds. Please mail it to Marcia Lenander at First Bank Saint Paul. Your $24,000 Bond of Indemnity will be returned to you. 2 - $5,000 bonds $10,000.00 26 - $ 125 coupons 3,250.00 $13,250.00 X 2 = $26,500.00 While bonds are not duplicated very often, it does occur, and everything usually proceeds very satisfactorily. Upon receipt of the duplicate bonds, you may present the past due coupons for payment, and all others on maturity, plus the bonds in 1991 without a problem. As soon as the Indemnity Bond for $26,500 arrives, I will process the necessary documents needed to duplicate your bonds, including contacting Security Columbian to start printing them. Mr. Nienhouse of Security Columbian Banknote Company, Forest Fark, Illinois, advised me that it would take from four to six weeks for completion of the duplicate bonds.
