An ordinance repealing Ordinance No.

by Ordinance No. 15021, adopted January 5,

Northern States Power Company to use a portion
of Market Street between Kellogg Blvd. and

ment.
THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAINT PAUL DOES ORDAIN:

; Re: Repeal of Ordinances #13+99 and #15021
The referenced ordinances are in regard to the leasing of N.rket Streat
by Northern States Pvwer Compa.ry. Since 1966 and 1972 when the ordinances
were approved, Northern States Prer along with West Publishing Compary
petitioned the City to vacate Market Street adjacent to their property.
' In 974, the City officially va,cated interest in the lea.sed area. Said
' Council action wa.s implemented by C.F. 264737, approved December 12, 1q74,
and, in effect, released Northern States Power of ary ftaxther renta.l
payments per the referenced ordinances.
With that as ba.ckground, I am proposing that the City officially repeal
the referenced ordinances since their affect is no longer relevant. For
your information, I have attached a copy of Ordinance #3499 and #15021,
as we11 as C.F. 264737.
If you have ary quest ions, please call me or Bill Donova.n.
