WHEREAS, the City of Saint Paul now provides a comprehensive Health and Welfare
Insurance Program for its employees and employees of the Independent School District #625, as
provided under Council File No. 267621 as amended, and
WHEftEAS, under this program, the City has negotiated a contract with Minnesota Health
Ma.intenance Network Plan (HNIJM) to provide Hospital and Medical Surgical Covera,ge, and
WHII�EAS, pursuant to the terms of this contract HMOM has submitted rates for the
coverage for the yeax October 1, 1982 to September 30, �983 as follows:
1. EMPIAYEE COVF�tAGE:
Employee Premium - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - $ 62.75
FamilyPremium - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - 204.63
2. RFJGULAR RETIREE: (Age 65 and over)
RetireePremium - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - 41.51
Retiree and Family Premi.um (Both age 65 or over) 79.43
RESOLVID, that the City Council does hereby authorize and direct the proper City
Officials to ratify said contract between the City of Saint Paul and Hi�M, and be it
FURTHF�t RESOLVID, that the City and Independent School District #625 sha11 pay that
portion of the premiums as is a,�reed upon by the process of collective bargaining and the
employee shall pa.y the balance of premiums due through payroll deduction, a.nd be it
FURTHER RESOLVID, that the proper city personnel be directed. to pay these premiums
as they fall due, and be it
FINALLY RESOLVED, that the City Clerk sha,ll be instructed to send a copy of this
resolution to HNIOM.
