RE: Council zoning schedule
WHEREAS, it is the policy of the City of Saint Paul to streamline its
procedures and minimize delays for development projects; and
WHEREAS, the Planning Division has therefore agreed to take on the zoning
tasks now performed by the Valuations Division, beginning in 1982; and
WMEREAS, consolidation of these functions in the Planning Division will
create the opportunity to further simplify and expedite zoning matters;
and
WHEREAS, the Deputy Director for Planning and the City Clerk have
recommended that the procedures for scheduling zoning cases before
the City Council can be significantly streamlined;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLUED, that the City Council directs the Office
of City Clerk and the Planning Division to work together to further
streamline the procedures used in scheduling zoning cases to be heard by
the Council .
