WHEREAS, within the City of Saint Paul small businesses
are experiencing difficulty in obtaining commercial rehabilitation
loans in the private mortgage market at affordable rates; and
WHEREAS, the Legislation Committee of the City Council
has reviewed and considered Senate File No. 1228, introduced
April 6, 1981, entitled:
"A bill for an act relating to cities;
authorizing city rehabilitation loan
programs for small and medium sized
commercial buildings; and providing
for the issuance of revenue bonds to
finance the programs; proposing new
law coded in Minnesota Statutes,
Chapter 459 . °
now therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the City Council supports enactment of
Senate File No. 1228 by the Legislature of the State of P�innesota.
