approved and funded through the Capital Improvement Budget process, and
i�tiEREAS, The City Council approved the Final Order C.F. No. 276927 to proceed with
grading and paving on June 2, 1981, but deferred approval for the liqhting installation
due to differing reco�endations fr� caaanunity and staff, and
TeHiEREAS, The lighting matter mas brought before the Public i�lorks Caem�ittee on September 2,
1981, followinq aqreement of a compra�aise w�orked out by Planning and Econc�ic Development
and Public Works staff with the caaamunity Identified Treatment Area (ITA) representatives,
and
WtiEREAS, The compramise called for adding Superior Street, located in Cliff Street ITA,
fro�n West Seventh Street (Fort Rcad) to Cliff Street to the already approved project
streets for construction; and this campronaise o�as approved by the Public Works Camaittee
of the Council on September 2, 1981, now, therefore be it
RESOLVED, That the Council of the City of Saint Paul hereby approves the addition of
5uperior Street, located in Cliff Street ITA, fram West Seventh Street (Fort �boad) to
Cliff Street to the Nugent-Western-Michigan Residential Street Paving Project.

ACTION REQUESTED:
Approve attached� Resolution for submission to City Council
PURPOSE AND RATIONALE FOR THIS ACTION:
This resolves a compromise. agreement between Public Works
and the community; eliminating pedestrian type street liahting
and substitutes the additional street paving.
