RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE ACCEPTANCE OF AN URBAN DEVELOPMENT
ACTION GRANT FOR THE ENERGY PARK PHASE 2 PROJECT
WHEREAS, the Council of the City of St. Paul did authorize the submission of an
Urban Development Action Grant application (Grant) to the U.S. Department of
Housing and Urban Development (Department) , for the second phase of the Energy
Park project (Project) , on January 26, 1982, Council File #278115; and
WHEREAS, the Department has given preliminary approval to this Grant, on April 7,
1982, in the amount of $3,431,000; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, that the Council of the City of St. Paul does hereby accept said Grant
from the Department for the Project; and be it
FURTHER RESOLVED, that Mayor Latimer, as Chief Executive Officer of the City,
is hereby authorized and directed to execute such agreements and to provide such
assurances as necessary between the City and the Department, and to execute
such agreements as necessary between the City and the Participating Parties as
defined in the Grant Agreement for the Project.

This grant award of $3,431,000, for the second phase of the Energy Park project,
will be used to provide further infrastructure improvements in the project, and
wiil help to leverage three new private developments, for a total additional
private investment of $22,500,000, creating 495 new permanent jobs.
