WHEREAS, the Ciry of Saint Paul periodically negotiates wages and fringe benefits with
those City employees who are represented by exclusive bargauiing representafives; and
WHEREA5, the Ciry periodically establishes, or adjusts fringe benefits of the Ciry's
elected officials; and
WHEREAS, such fringe benefits were adjusted by Ordinance 93-169Q and Council
Resolution 93-1923; now therefore, be it
RESOLVED, per council resolutions and ordinances, the City contribution for the elected
official's fringe benefits remain at $ 420.18 per month for benefit plan year 2000; and be it
FURTHER RESOLVED, the Ciry contribuflon must be applied to the full cost of long term
disability and life insurance with the remainder being applied at the election of the elected
official to health care coverage and/or the medical flexibie spend'vng account program; and be it
12 FINALLY RFSOLVED, that beginning for beneflt plan pear 2001, the level of Ciry
13 contribution for fringe benefits for elected officials wi11 be adjusted annually to reflect an
14 amount equal to the average increase, or decrease, in the health care premiums for single
15 coverage.
