Supervision Exercised: Ma.y exercise technical and admin�strative supervision directly over lower level workers. TYPICAL DUTIES PERFORMED The listed examples may not include all duties performed by all positions in this class. Researches and identifies new training material methods and equipment, assists in writing and revising lesson plans, and student classroom material. Researches, writes and revises training lesson, plans and student classroom material. Prepares and assembles audio-visual aids including slides, video tapes, movies, graphs and charts. Coaducts training classes for recruits and current employees in specified subject areas such as radiological monitoring, explosives, and fire equipment operation. � Supervises on-site training activities at the Fire Department driZl center facilities. Assists in evaluation of qualifications and performance of firefighter applicants and recruits. Presents fire safety programs and demonstrations to interested community groups. Assists in planning and scheduling fire company inspections of commercial and industrial buildings. RNOWLEDGES, SKILLS AND ABILITIES Considerable knowledge of firefighting methods and equipment. Considerable knowledge of fire hazards and fire prevention techniques and the use and application of audio-visual aids. Working ability to plan and organize work. Working ability to maintain effective working relationships with associates. Working ability to develop and use educational materials. . MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Three years' experience as a Fire Fighter in the Saint Paul Fire Department. The first unit of the Teacher Training curriculum as administered by Saint Paul Technical Vocational Institute, or an equivalent course of study approved by the Personnel Office must be completed prior to appointment. The second unit of this Teacher Training course must be comple�ed before the completion of the probationary period.
