STARR, CITY ATTORNEY ,.,. 647 City Hall, Saint Paul, Minnesota 55102 612-298-5121 GEORGE LATIMER MAYOR May 6, 1982 George McMahon Councilman 7th Floor City Hall Dear Councilman McMahon: Pursuant to your request, I have prepared the resolution for the Pig 's Eye regional park support based on the sample submitted by you. I enclose a copy of the sample you submitted, with the changes shown thereon. The first paragraph was changed to limit the reference to the portion of Pig' s Eye ara included in the Mississippi River Co d r Plan. The City' s Corridor Plan recommends a portion of the Pig' s Eye area to be a regional park, not the whole Pig' s Eye area. The other change was to delete the reference to 1400 acre area, because I am advised that the City' s Corridor Plan recommended only about 1100 acres for the regional park. Also, referenae to acquisitions was omi.tted because the contem- plated regional park ara does not contemplate any aequisition of land. The Poxt Authority has already transferred title to a portion of the area to the City for park use. If you have any questions, please call me. Very truly yours, f JE J.
