Hudalla the sum of $86 .00 in full settlement of their claim of damages sustained on or about May 3, 1982 , as more particularly set out in the Notice of Claim filed in the City Clerk 's office on May 19 , 1982 . 3. Rose Datko the sum of $1 ,250 .00 in full settlement of her claim of damages sustained on or about May 22, 1981, as more particularly set out in the Notice of Claim filed in the City Clerk 's office on January 22 , 1982 . 4. William D. Riley the sum of $36 .00 in full settlement of his claim of damages sustained on or about September 13 , 1981, as more particularly set out in the Notice of Claim filed in the City Clerk 's office on October 5 , 1982 . 5 . Pennsylvania General Insurance Company, as subrogee of John Rich ards, Jr. , the sum of $463. 47 in full settlement of its claim of damages sustained on or about November 17, 1980 , as more particularly set out in the Notice of Claim filed in the City Clerk's office on January 2 , 1981. STENSLAND; BUCHMEIER AGENCY, INC. AND EUGENE E. HUDALLA; ROSE DATKO; WILLIAM D. RILEY; and PENNSYLVANIA GENERAL INSURANCE COMPANY Claimant, Paul A. Stensland, was involved in an automobile acci- dent with a City of Saint Paul, Department of Fire and Safety ' Services, vehicle on February 22 , 1982 . The City vehicle was being driven by Lonnie A. Favors . Mr. Favors states that he was on a fire run and was met on 5t. Albans by a school bus . The bus pulled over to let the emergency vehicle pass but not enough room was available and the fire rig struck P�r. Stensland' s vehicle which was parked. Expenses are for the repair of the damaged vehicle. This office approves the settlement of Mr. Stensland's claim in the amount of $222 .96 . Claimants , Buchmeier Agency, Inc, and Eugene E . Hudalla, request reimbursement for damages to their drop shaft. On May 3, 1982 , a City of Saint Paul contractor struck a drop shaft and damaged it while putting in a new sidewalk near 1100 West Seventh Street. The City of Saint Paul failed to warn the contractor of the existence of such a drop shaft. This office approves the settle- ment of their claim in the amount of $86 .00 for the repair of the damaged drop shaft. Claimant, Rose Datko, requests reimbursement for personal injuries she sustained when she tripped and fell on a City of Saint Paul boulevard and a driveway on May 22 , 1981 . There was a rise be- tween the boulevard and the driveway which Ms . Datko tr-ipped on and severely injured herself. This office approves the settle- ment of Ms . Datko 's claim in the amount of $1,250 .00 for those injuries and medical expenses incurred as a result of Ms . Datko 's fall . _ � . . � ����:�_�! Memorandum 4 June 19 8 2 Page Two Claimant, William D. Riley, requests reimbursement for medical expenses he incurred after being bitten by a racoon owned by the City of Saint Paul, Como Zoo. Mr. Riley was bitten on September 13 , 1981, while at a Wild Life Art Exhibit. The animal was part of a Foster Parent Program sponsered by the zoo. After the incident, the animal was picked up and taken to the State Health Department Lab and checked for rabies . This office approves the settlement of Mr. Riley 's claim in the amount of $36 .00 . Claimant, Pennsylvania General Insurance Company, as subrogee of John Richards, Jr. , reque5ts reimbursement for money paid to its insured as a result of an automobile accident with a City of Saint Paul, Department of Public Works , vehicle on November 17 , 1980 . The City vehicle, driven by Jerome Hughes, was driVing on Randolph near West 7th Street. Mr. Hughes made a right turn from Randolph onto Osceola and while doing so he turned into a lane of traffic occupied by Kathie Richards and owned by John Richards, Jr. As a result, our truck struck Ms . Richard's vehicle and damaged it. This office approves the settlement of Pennsylvania General Insurance Company 's claim in the amount of $463.47 .
