WHEREAS, § 376.17(d) permits an applicant to obtain a provisional operator license
which authorizes the driver to operate until the first available opening in a training ciass, at
which time the applicant must enroll in and successfully complete the class; and
WHEREAS, Brian Cady was issued a provisional operator license by the Office of LIEP
and attended but did not complete the taxicab driver training course held in January, 2000. He
was notified of the makeup class to be held on February 14, 2000, but failed to appear for the
class; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, that the provisionai operator license (license ID # 19990004949) issued to
Brian Cady is hereby revoked for failure to successfully complete the required taYicab driver
training course.

The Office of License, Tnspections and Environmental Protection has recommended revocation
of your provisional operator status as a taxicab driver based upon your failure to successfully
complete a taxicab driver training course, pursuant to Saint Paul legislative Code
§ 37b.17(d). Enclosed is a copy of the proposed resolution.
Please take notice that a hearing has been scheduled before the Saint Paul City Council for 5:30
p.m. on Wednesday, May 3, 2000 in the City Council Chambers, Third Floor, Saint Paul
City Aa1URarasey County Courthouse. You will have an opporiunity to address the Council at
that time.
