This action is based on the following: A check of your Minnesota driving record shotivs a December 13, 1997 conviction for Careless Driving. The above conduct is a misdemeanor violafion of law, and constitutes grounds under Section 376.16(e){�) of the Saint Paul Legislative Code for denial of your license application. Section 376.16(e)(5) of the Saint Paul Legislative Code does not permit the issuance of a license to a person having a misdemeanor conviction in the previous three years involving reckless or careless driving. Under state law, Minn. Stat. ch. 364, the City of Saint Paui must inform you of certain matters: First, the grounds and reasons for the denial of the iicense. These grounds and reasons are set forth above. Second, any complaints or grievances that you may have will be processed and adjudicated in accordance with the procedures set forth in section 310.05 of the Saint Paul Legislative Code. These procedures are substantially similar to those required by the state administrative procedures act, Minn. Stat. §§ 14.57-.69. 00 —�{3 If you do not dispute the abuve facts, you may withdraw your licen.._ application. If this is your choice, you will need to make that request in writing. This action is based on the following: A check of your Minnesota driving record shotivs a December 13, 1997 conviction for Careless Driving. The above conduct is a misdemeanor violafion of law, and constitutes grounds under Section 376.16(e){�) of the Saint Paul Legislative Code for denial of your license application. Section 376.16(e)(5) of the Saint Paul Legislative Code does not permit the issuance of a license to a person having a misdemeanor conviction in the previous three years involving reckless or careless driving. Under state law, Minn. Stat. ch. 364, the City of Saint Paui must inform you of certain matters: First, the grounds and reasons for the denial of the iicense. These grounds and reasons are set forth above. Second, any complaints or grievances that you may have will be processed and adjudicated in accordance with the procedures set forth in section 310.05 of the Saint Paul Legislative Code. These procedures are substantially similar to those required by the state administrative procedures act, Minn. Stat. §§ 14.57-.69. 00 —�{3 If you do not dispute the abuve facts, you may withdraw your licen.._ application. If this is your choice, you will need to make that request in writing. The letter should be directed to Mr. I2ichazd Jents, Office of License, Inspections and Environmentai Protection, Room 300 Lowry Professional Building, 350 Saint Peter Street, Saint Paul, Minnesota 55102. You may then re-apply in 7anuary of 2001, at which time your application would again be evaluated to see if you meet the criteria identified in the ordinance which governs the issuance of taxicab driver's licenses. Altematively, if you contest the facts stated above in bold type, a hearing on the facts will be heard before an administrative la�v judge, whose findin�s and recommendations will be given to the St. Paul City Council for a final determination.
