Whereas, the reduction in federal and state aid available to finance
the City of Saint Paul ' s Adopted 1982 General Fund Budget forced
the reduction in overall City spending, and
Whereas, one of the significant budget adjustments made was the
elimination of team police , which forced the consolidation of
six team offices into two sector offices, and
Whereas, the forced budget adjustment did result in significant
personnel cost savings, but also forced the relocation of the west
sector office into a new location which requires the rental of .
a structure which is not owned by the City, now, therefore, be it
Resolved, that upon recommendation of the Mayor and pursuant to
Section 10 .07 .4 of the Charter of the City of Saint Paul, there
is hereby transferred the following in the 1982 budget:

Estimated cost of preparing new facility for occupancy is $29,750� of .
which the Police budget can cover $12 ,QOO . The cost of the improvements
to be made by Kraus Anderson will be included in ' the first year' s lease
agreement.
