RESOLVED, That upon execution and delivery of a release in full
to the City, in a form to be approved by the City Attorney, the
proper City officers are hereby authorized and directed to pay
out of the Tort Liability Fund 09070-511-000 , to:
l. NewMech Companies the sum of $450 .00 in full settlement of its
claim of damages sustained on or about January 15, 1982, as
more particularly set out in the Notice of Claim filed in the
City Clerk's office on February 19 , 1982 .
2 . Todd Stillwell the sum of $250 .84 in full settlement of his
claim of damages sustained on or about January 27, 1982 , as
more particularly set out in the Notice of Claim filed in the
City Clerk's office on March 17, 1982 .

M E M O R A N D U M
CLAIMS AGAINST CITY OF SAINT PAUL
BY NEWMECH COMPANIES AND TODD STILLWELL
Claimant, NewMech Companies , requests reimbursement for damages
to its truck which was involved in an automobile accident with
a City of Saint Paul, Department of Community Services , Parks
Division, vehicle on January 15, 1982 , at the intersection of
Snelling and Arlington. The City vehicle, driven by Joseph
Cizl , was in the process of making a left hand turn from Snelling
onto Arlington. Mr. Cizl was not able to make his turn without
backing up because he had pulled to far into the intersection.
NewMech ' s vehicle, driven by Clifford Kirchner, was unable to
stop because of the slippery road conditions and slid into the
City vehicle . This office approves the settlement of NewMech
Companies ' claim in the amount of $450 .00 .
Claimant, Todd Stillwell, was involved in an automobile accident
with a City of Saint Paul, Department of Police, vehicle on
January 27, 1982 , at the intersection of Marion and Edmund. The
City vehicle, driven by Officer Clem Tucker, made a right turn
from Marion onto Edmund and our veicle slid on packed snow and
hit Mr. Stillwell ' s vehicle, which was waiting for the stop light
on Edmund. Expenses are for the repair of the damaged vehicle.
This office approves the settlement of Mr. Stillwell 's claim in
the amount of $250 . 84 .
