RESOLVED, That upon execution and delivery of a release in full
to the City, the proper City officers are hereby authorized and
directed to pay out of the Tort Liability Fund 09070-511-000 , to:
1. Elmer Streich the sum of $423 .50 in full settlement of his
claim of damages sustained on or about January and February ,
1982 , as more particularly set out in the Notice of Claim
filed in the City Clerk 's office on February 22 , 1982 .
2 . Richard W. Wagner, Sr. the sum of $75.00 in full settlement
of his claim of damages sustained on or about February 21,
1982, as more particularly set out in the Notice of Claim
filed in the City Clerk 's office on March 2, 1982 .
3. Robin Reed the sum of $271.�0 in full settlement of his claim
of damages sustained on or about January 23, 1982 , as more
particularly set out in the Notice of Claim filed in the
City Clerk's office on February 4, 1982 .
4. Janette Puentes the sum of $261.01 in full settlement of her
claim of damages sustained on or about January 27 , 1982 , as.
more particularly set out in the Notice of Claim filed in the
City Clerk 's office on March 3, 1982.

M E M O R A N D U M
CLAIMS AGAINST CITY OF SAINT PAUL
BY ELMER STREICH, RICHARD W. WAGNER, SR. ,
ROBIN REED, AND JANETTE PUENTES
Claimant, Elmer Streich, requests reimbursement for expenses
incurred when he had his sewer thawed out. This is a reoccurring
problem for Mr. Streich due to the design and location of the
main sewer line. Public Works hopes to have the problem corrected
the summer of 1982 . This office approves the settlement of
i��r. Streich 's claim in the amount of $423. 50 .
Claimant, Richard LV. Wagner, Sr. , requests reimbursement for
damages he sustained to his property when his sewer backed up.
P�Ir. Wagner's service line was filled due to a blockage of the
main sewer line. It was discovered that a board was blocking
the main sewer line and it was flushed clean. This office
approves the settlement of Mr. Wagner's claim in the amount of
$75 .00 .
Claimant, Robin Reed, requests reimbursement for damag�s to an
automobile, which was left at his place of business for trans-
mission repair , aaused when it was struck by a City of Saint
Paul , Department of Public Works , snow plow. Mr. Reed personally
paid to have his customer's automobile repaired as the customer
needed his car. It was determined from information supplied
by witnesses that the snowplow involved in this accident was
owned by the City of Saint Paul but no plate number or vehicle
number was obtained. The driver of the City vehicle never re-
ported the accident and his identity is not known. This office
approves the settlement of Mr. Reed's claim in the amount of
$271 .00 .
Claimant, Janette Puentes , was involved in an automobile accident
with a City of Saint Paul, Department of Community Services,
vehicle on January 27, 1982 . The driver of the City vehicle,
Edward Giannini , was backing up a City vehicle and did not see
Ms. Puentes ' vehicle which was legally parked on Scheffer Avenue
and struck it. Expenses are for the repair of the damaged
vehicle. This office approves the settlement of Ms . Puentes '
claim in the amount of $261 .01 .
