RESOLUTION AUTHORIZTNG SUBMISSION OF APPL�CATION TO ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT ADMINISTRATION
FOR CONTINUATION OF PLANNING ASSISTANCE GRANT
WHEREAS, the City of St. Paul has received funding from the Economic Development
Administration, through the Title 302a P1anning Assistance Grant Program, since
June 1980; and
WHEREAS, this funding has been used in the Department of Planning and Economic
Development to support staff costs, and has helped make possible the nationally
renowned Neighborhood Business Revitalization Program; and
WHEREAS, the City continues to be eligible for this funding through Title 302a;
now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, that the Council of the City of St. Paul does hereby approve the filing
of the Application for a Continuation of the Planning Assistance Grant awarded
previously by the Economic Development Administration ,for the amount of $22,212;
and be it
FURTHER RESOLVED, that Mayor George Latimer, as Chief Executive Officer of the
City of St. Paul , is hereby authorized and directed to submit said Application
to the Economic Development Administration in such form as prescribed by the
regulations of said Administration, and to execute and submit to said Administration
any assurances, certifications, or additional information that may be required
by said Administration during their review of this Application.

P�IRPOSE AND RATIONALE FOR THIS ACTION:
This amendment would, if approved, allow continuing funding of active EDA 302(a)
Planning Assistance Grant through September 30, 1982.
