Hartman the sum of $382 .78 in full settlement of theix claim of damages sustained on or about December 12 , 1981 , as more particularly� set out in the Notice of Claim filed in the City Clerk 's office on January 7, 1982. 2. Mary Pat McManus the sum of $429 .00 in full settlement of her claim of damages sustained on or about January 24 , 1982 , as more particularly set out in the Notice of Claim filed in the City Clerk's office on February 4 , 1982 . 3 . Edward Kruse the sum of $175 .00 in full settlement of his claim of damages sustained on or about January 29 , and February 10 , 1982 , as more particularly set out in the Notice of Claim filed with the City Clerk 's office on February 25, 1982 . 4 . Dorothy C. Lunzer the sum of $155 .96 in full settlement of her claim of damages sustained on or about June 13, 1981, as more particularly set out in the Notice of Claim filed with the City Clerk 's office on November 25, 1981. HARTD�IAN; MARY PAT McMANUS ; EDWARD KRUSE; and DOROTHY C. LUNZER Claimants, Farmers Insurance Group and Cindy L. Hartman request reimbursement for damages to Ms . Hartman's automobile which resulted becuase of an automobile accident she had with a City of Saint Paul , Department of Police, vehicle on December 12 , 1981. Our driver, Officer Robert Hodges, was parking a City vehicle and was distracted by a fight in progress and when he looked back onto the street he saw a parked vehicle in his path and tried to stop. Officer Hodges was unable to avoid the impact with this legally parked vehicle, owned by Cindy L. Hartman and insured by Farmers Insurance Company, because he slid on ice and could not stop in time. This office approves the settlement of their claim in the amount of $382 .78 . Claimant, Mary Pat McManus ' automobile was involved in an accident with a City of Saint Paul, Department of Public Works , vehicle on January 24 , 1982 . Our driver, Marlowe R. Schultz , attempted to make a turn at Lexington and Hague with a City snowplow but didn't have enough room. He checked his mirrors, backed up and hit the McManus car. Mr. Schultz wasn't able to see the McManus car behind the truck because of the car ' s position. The driver of the McManus car wasn't able to back up because of a school bus behind him. Expenses are for the repair of the damaged vehicle. This office approves the settlement of Ms . McManus ' claim in the amount of $429 .00 . ' Claimant, Edward Kruse, requests reimbursement for damages to his clothing which occurred on January 29 , 1982 , and February 10 , 1982 . Mr. Kruse 's clothes were ruined on two occasions by hydraulic fluid while operation the bucket of a City owned Department of Community Services , piece of equipment. The release of fluid was caused by the giving away of undersized washers . The improper washers were installed by City maintenance workers twice before the correct size washer was fitted. This office approves the settlement of Mr. Kruse 's claim in the amount of $175 .00 . , ��r.;�� ����V Memorandum Claims against City of Saint Paul 26 February 1982 Page Two Claimant, Dorothy C. Lunzer, requests reimbursement for medical bills she incurred as a result of a sidewalk falldown on a City sidewalk at or near 1136 Rice Street on June 13, 1982 . Ms . Lunzer fell due to a raised portion of a broken up sidewalk in front of the Rice Street Pharmacy. The sidewalk has been replaced. This office approves the settlement of Ms . Lunzer's claim in the amount of $155.96 .
