This application has been reviewed by the License & Permit
Division and the City Attorney's Office. The recommendation is
for approval with the condition that off-street parking be first

Because the license has been inactive as a result of a
fire at 347 Wabasha Street, Horatio Hornblowers, he makes
application for the transfer of this license to 535 North
Dale Street and requests to have a public hearing as soon
as possible.
This request has been reviewed by the License and Permit
Division. The recommendation is to hold the public
hearing on February �, 1983.

On Jaruary 20 , 1983 , the Thnmas-Dale/District 7 Planning Council ' s
Executive Board acted to approve the location at 535 N . Dale for a
total liquor license . Mike Hafner , the owner , has indicated that
he intends to add off street parking for up to 50 cars and intends
- to invest about $300 ,000 in the improvement of the bar. Concerns
from neighborhood residents have mainly addressed erowded parking
conditions in the area . I�e believe that the addition of parking
space is imparative .
We look forward to the improvement in this bar and believe that Mr .
Hafner will respect his comr�itment ta be a good neighbor to Thomas-
Dale . Please accept our p�sitive recommendation .
