HOFFMAN d/b/a/ EXERCISE EQUIPMENT CO. ; EBER CHRISTOPHER AND PREFERRED INSURANCE COMPANY; and LYLE CARL PUPPE AND AMERICAN FAMILY INSURANCE GROUP Claimant, Richard A. Hoffman d/b/a Exercise Equipment Co. , requests reimbursement for damages to his office window. The window was broken when a stone from a City of Saint Paul, Department of Public Works , sanding truck was sanding the icy street in front of 840 White Bear Avenue and flew up and hit the window at that loca- tion. This office approves the settlement of Mr. Hoffman's claim in the amount of $444 .45 . On September 6 , 1982 , a Saint Paul Police Officer, Dan Carlson, was directing traffic at Snelling and Canfield, during the State Fair. A vehicle driven and owned by claimant, Eber Christopher, disobeyed Officer Carlson's traffic direction. As a result, Officer Carlson confronted Mr. Christopher in his vehicle and rapped his hand on the windshield which caused the windshield to crack. The amount of damages to repair the windshield was $160 .99 of which Mr. Christopher's insurance company, Economy Preferred, paid their insured. This office approves the settlement of their claim in the amount of $160 .99 . Claimant, Lyle Carl Puppe, requests reimbursement for damages to his automobile which he incurred when a City of Saint Paul, Depart- ment of Police, K-9 dog ran into the street and damaged his auto- mobile. Mr. Puppe is insured by American Family Insurance Group. The K-9 , at the time of the incident, was in the possession of Officer Mark Klinge who is the dog's handler. This office approves the settlement of their claim of damages in the amount of $144 .70 . ���y�s;�
