The Council of the City of Saint Paul has conducted a public hearing upon the above improvement, due notice
thereof having been given as prescribed by the City Charter; and
WHEREAS, The Council has heard all persons, objections and recommendations pertaining to said proposed improve-
ment and has fully considered the same; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the Council of the City of Saint Paul does hereby order that the above-described improvement
be made, and the proper City officers are hereby directed and authorized to proceed with the improvement; and be it
FURTHER RESOLVED, That upon the completion of said improvement, the proper City officers shall calculate
ali expenses incurred therein and shall report the same to the City Council in accordance with Chapter 14 of the City Charter.

per square foot of walk constructed with integral curb.
Without integral curb the cost is estimated to be $2.20

benefitted properties. The estimated assessments for this
project are as .follows:

At the February 9 , 1983 Public Works Committee meeting action was taken
as follows :
1. RATIFICATION OF ASSESSMENTS for construction of a sanitary sewer in
WHITALL STREET from Edgerton St. to 220 feet west. Also, construction
of sanitary sewer service connections. Public hearing 2/15/83.
Recommended approval at $1 , 135. 50 for each lot to be assessed.
2. FINAL ORDER: To decide on the grading � paving of the North-South
Al1ey in Block 3, College Place Taylor' s Division from the East-�Vest
Alley to Pierce Butler Route. Also, constructing a sewer in the alley
for storm water purposes (bounded by Pierce Butler Route, Charlotte,
Taylor and Aldine Streets) . Also slope construction in the grading
and paving of said alley. Public hearing 2/15/83. �
Recommended approval.
3. FINAL ORDER: To decide on whether to proceed with the improving of
ARLINGTON AVENUE from East �Shore Drive to Hazelwood St. by regrading,
paving, constructing B-624 curb � gutter with full depth asphalt pave-
ment, constructing an ornamental lighting system and reconstructing
concrete walks �, drives where necessary. Also, constructing a storm
sewer from English St: to 320 feet West of English St.
Public hearing 2/22/83.
Recommended approval.
4. FINAL ORDER: To decide on whether to proceed with the construction
and/or reconstruction of sidewalks in conjunction with the proposed
improvements of ARLINGTON AVENUE from East Shore Drive to Hazelwood
Street. Public hearing 2/22/83.
Recommended approval.
5. VACATION: Petition of Vomela Specialty Company, et al , for the vacation
for that part of Mississippi St. adjacent to Lot 5, Blk. 5 , Dayton' s
Addition for construction of a 2nd floor of a now existing building
that encroaches onto the street right-of-way. Public hearing 2/15/83.
Recommended approval .
