WF�REAS, the Port Authority did undertake the Southport Industrial
Development described as lying westerly of the Mississippi River, northerly
of Concord Street, southerly of the Saint Paul Downtown Airport (Holman
Field) , and easterly of Witham Avenue, and located in the south one half of
Section 9-T28N-R22W as shown on the attached map, and,
WHEREAS, the Port Authority has been involved in the development of
� this property for many years without replatting or dedication of street
right-of-ways, and,
WHEREAS, the Saint Paul Police Department has requested that the access
road servicing this property be officially named, and,
RESOLVED, that this road shall hereafter be known and designated by the
name of BARGE CHANNEL ROAD, and be it further
12ESOLVED, that WITHAM AVENUE between Concord Street and said Barge
Channel RQad shall hereafter be known and Designated by the name of BARGE
CHANNEL ROAD, and be it further,
RESOLVED, that the Department of Public Works shall issue official street
addresses for the existing development located on this road using BARGE CHANNEL
ROAD as the designated street name, and be it further

RESOLVED, that the developers and/or its successors in interest shall
place and maintain numbers on the developed sites as provided by Chapter 71
of the Saint Paul Legislative Code, and be it further
RESOLVED, that the Port Authority has agreed to assume the liability for all
costs incurred by the City and made necessary by this undertaking which includes,
but is not limited to the installation and changing of the street name signs.
