WHEREAS, on August 12, 1983, the Division of Public Health for
the City of Saint Paul inspected the property at 2194 Nortonia, St. Paul,
Minnesota and determined that a nuisance existed on said property; and
WHEREAS, the Division of Public Health sent a letter dated August 15,
1983 to P. Mulvaney, Jr. of 2194 Nortonia, St. Paul, Minnesota, the fee
owner of 2194 Nortonia per Ramsey County Tax Records; and
WHEREAS, in the letter of August 15, 1983 the Division informed
P. Mulvaney, Jr. of the exact nature of the nuisance and ordered P. Mulvaney,
Jr. to abate the nuisance within fourteen days; and
[n1HEREAS, in the letter of August 15, 1983, P. Mulvaney, Jr. was in-
formed of his right to appeal the Division'� order by requesting a hear-
ing before the St. Paul City Council; and
WHEREAS, P. Mulvaney, Jr. filed an appeal with the City Clerk and a
public hearing was conducted on September 13, 1983 before the City
Council; and
WHEREAS, at said hearing the City Council granted a thirty day ex-
tension of time to allow P. D�ulvaney, Jr. to remedy the condition of his
property; and
WHEREAS, on October 11, 1983 a second public hearing was conducted
before the City Council and upon consideration of the facts of this matter
the City Council denied P. Mulvaney, Jr. ' s appeal, affirmed the Division's
clean-up order of August 15, 1983 and determined that the condition of
the property was to be corre�ted within 10 days of the date of the passage
of this resolution.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Order of the Division of
Public Health directing that the property at 2194 Nortonia be cleaned up
as provided in said order is hereby affirmed except that P. Mulvaney, Jr.
is given ten days to complete the necessary clean-up.

BE ZT FURTHER RESOLVED, that in the event the �aork is not completed
within ten days, the City may proceed to perform or complete the
necessary work with the costs incurred therefrom collected in the same
manner as provided by law.
