City officers are hereby authorized and directed to pay out of the
Tort Liability Fund 09070-511-000 , to :
1 . John Bearth the sum of $40 .27 in full settlement of his claim
of damages sustained on or about July 11 , 1983 , as more
particularly set out in the Notice of Claim filed in the City
Clerk' s office on August 10 , 1983 .
2 . Delos R. Wood the sum of $12 . 47 in full settlemetn of his claim
of damages �ustained on or about July 25 , 1983 , as more
particularly set out in the Notice of Claim filed in the City
Clerk ' s office on August 3 , 1983 .
3 . Terrance D. Wilk the sum of $1 , 500 .00 in full settlement of
his claim of, damages sustained o or about July 27, 1983 , as
more particularly set out in the Notice of Claim filed in the
City Clerk ' s office on August 8 , 1983 .

M E M O R A N D U M
CLAIMS AGAINST CITY OF SAINT PAUL
BY JOHN BEARTH , DELOS R. WOOD, AND
TERRANCE D. WILK
On July 1 , 1983 , a City of Saint Paul , Department of Community
Services , tree trimming crew was trirnming a tree near the home of
claimant , john Bearth , at 107 West Wheelock . Part of the tree
fell on Mr . Bearth ' s property and damaged his mailbox . The cost
of replacing his mailbox is $40 .27. This office approves the
settlement of Mr . Bearth ' s claim in the amount of $40 . 27.
On July 25 , 1983 , a City of Saint Paul , Department of Public Works ,
crew watered down the alley behind the home of claimant , Delos Wood ,
of 1099 Case . Mr . Wood had just resurfaced his blacktopped driveway
and our crew watered the driveway causing the blacktop to wash away .
The cost of getting new blacktop is $12 . 47. This office approves
the settlement of Mr . Wood ' s claim in the amount of $12 . 47.
On uly 27 , 1983 , a City of Saint Paul , Department of Fire and Safety
Services , paramedic vehicle , driven by Steven Sarafolean , was on an
emergency run with red lights and siren. As our driver approached
the intersection of Randolph and Victoria , the red light did not
change for our vehicle and it entered the intersection on the red
light . A vehicle driven and owned by claimant , Terrance Wilk , was
already in this intersection when we entered and as a result we
struck and damaged his vehicle . mr . Wilk ' s vehicle was totaled and
we arrived at a compromise settlement of $1 , 500 .00 . This office
approves the settlement of Mr . Wilk ' s claim in the amount of $1 , 500 .00 .
