Subject: Minnesota Emergency Employment Development Act
Dated: August 9, 1983
The Minnesota state legislature recently appropriated funds for a major
employment initiative throughout the state, the Minnesota Emergency
Employment Development Act.
We worked actively on behalf of St. Paul residents to see that this
legislation was passed, and are pleased to forward the attached documents
which will allow us to accept $1,890,552 for the first year ofoperations.
This money will create approxima.tely 400 six month jobs at $4.00 per hour.
Please call me at 298-4904 or Jacqui Shoholm of my staff if there are any
questions on these ma.terials.
