WHEREAS, Woodbury Center has proposed the construction and
operation of a Parimutuel Racetrack in the community of Woodbury;
and
WHEREAS, such an operation would create as many as 4, 100
jobs , most of which would be filled by residents of the surrounding
area, including the City of St. Paul ; and
WHEREAS , additional tourist revenues would be brought to the
metropolitan area, including the City of St . Paul ; now, therefore,
be it
RESOLVED, that the Council of the City of Saint Paul hereby
supports the Woodbury Center Parimutuel Racetrack in the City of
Woodbury.
