1 WHEREAS, Laws of Minnesota, Chapter 129, Section 10 permits the City of Saint Paul
2 to issue an on-sale intoxicating liquor license to the City's Division of Pazks and Recreation, and
3 the Division holds a liquor license for Como Lakeside. Pavilion; and
4
5 WHEREAS, the legislation authorizes the license to permit the sale of alcohol on
6 properry owned by the City and under the jurisdiction of the Division by person holding a permit
7 from the Division to conduct an event and sell or serve intoxicating liquor to person attending the
8 event; and
10 WHEREAS, Prom Management Group has scheduled events at Como Lakeside Pavilion
11 for which it will be catering and providing aicohol service, and each event consists of a private
12 party of one day or less duration to take place at the Pavilion, and Prom wishes to use the
13 division's intoxicating liquor license for these scheduled events; and
14
15 WHEREAS, the events are scheduled for April 1, Apri128 and Apri129, 2000, May 6,
16 May 11, May 14, May 20, May 21, May 27 and May 28, 2000, June 2, June 4, June 9, June 10,
17 June 11, June 17, June 23, June 24 and June 30, 2000 and July 1, July 6, July 13, July 15, July 29

WHEREAS, Prom Management Group agrees that at each of these events, the alcohol
can be served only to guests attending the event, that the alcohol will only be served during the
hours scheduled for the event, and that no alcohol can be served outside of the Como Lakeside
Pavilion building; and
WHEREAS, Prom Management Group will provide a certificate of liquar liability
insurance for each event naming the City of Saint Paul as an additional insured, in an amount not
less than the lixnits set forth in Minn. Stat. §340A.409; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, that the City Council of the City of Saint Paul authorizes the Division of
Parks and Recreation to issue pernuts to Prom Management Group to serve intoxicating liquor to
person attending the events Prom is catering at Como Lakeside Pauilion on April 1, Apri128 and
Apri129, 2000, May 6, May 11, May 14, May 20, May 21, May 27 and May 28, 2000, June 2,

FURTF3ER RESOLVED, that alcohol will be served only to persons who are invited
