WHEREAS, the City of Saint Paul has plans to improve Topping Street between Dale Street and
Como Avenue in 2000 as part of the Residential Street Vitality Program; and
WHEREAS, the Saint Paul Port Authority has plans to develop and construct public improvements on
the Maxson Steel site which is adjacent to Topping Street; and
WHEREAS, in connection with the development, the City and the Port Authority desire to have the
Port Authority administer the construction of the public improvements on Topping Street; and
WHEREAS, the City of Saint Paul desires to enter into an agreement with the Saint Paul Port
Authority which defines the Engineering, Administrative and Cost Participation responsibilities for the
public improvements on Topping Street;
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that we hereby authorize the proper City officials to sign the
Agreement.

Stree[. In order to coordinate the two projects, Pubiic Works intends to have the Port Authority administer and let a contract for construc[ion
of Topping Street.
