RESOLUTION OF THE COUNGIL OF THE CITY OF SAINT PAUL,
MINNESOTA APPROVTNG AND AUTHORIZING THE FILING OF AN
APPLICATION FOR A FEDERAL GRANT UNDEFt PUBLIC LAW
98-8 (EMERGENCY JOBS ACT) FOR ENERGY PARK
�+HEREqS, there is a need to augment the aYailable -iunding for Saint Paul 's
Energy Park; and
��IHEREAS, the Ci:ty is eligible for � federa1 grant for pub1ic improvements
in Energy Park under Public Law 98-8, the Emergency Jobs Act of 1983y
Now therefore, be it
RESOLVED that upon recomr�endation of the Mayor, �he Council of the City
of Saint Paul does here6y approve the filing of an application for approximately
$1 .2 million in federal assistance to complete the financing of the public
improvements in Energy Pdrk, and be it
FURTHER RESOLV�D, that Mayor George Latimer, as Chief Executive Officer of
the City of Saint Paul is hereby authorized and directed to submit said application
for federal grant assistance to the U.S. Department of Cammerce, Economic
Development Administration, in such form as prescribed by the regulations of said
Administration, and, be it
FINALLY RESOLVED, that the Mayor or his designated representat�!e is
further authorized to execute and submi:t to the U,S. Department of Commerce,
Economic Development Administration, any assurances, certifications, or
additional information that may be required by said Administration during its
review of the City's application for an EDA federal grant and that the proper
officers of the City are hereby authorized to execute whatever contracts are
required in order to enter into a valid Grant Agreement pursuant to the terms
