Wyatt the sum of $600.00 in full settlement of her claim of damages sustained on or about January 13 , 1983 , as more particularly set out in the Notice of Claim filed in the City Clerk ' s office on March 11 , 1983 . 3 . Douglas Rolfe Smith the sum of $314 . 89 in full settlement of his claim of damages sustained on or about October 31 , 1982 , as more particularly set out in the Notice of Claim filed in the City Clerk ' s office on December 7 , 1982 . 4. Eric Kruse , John Lehmann , Paul Froehle , and Peter Kronschnable the sum of $561 . 75 in full settlement of their claim of damages sustained on or about March 10 , 1983 , as more particularly set out in the Notice of Claim filed in the City Clerk ' s office on March 29 , 1983. ALFORD; JOY B. WYATT; DOUGLAS ROLFE SMITH ; and ERIC KRUSE, JOHN LEHMANN, PAUL FROEHLE, AND PETER KRONSCHNABE�L Claimant , Edmond L. Alford , requests reimbursement for replacement of his automobile tire which was damaged when he struck a curb iron which was protruding from the curb on Cleveland near the alley between Randolph and James . We had no previous complaints about this curb iron and after a call by Mr. Alford , the Public Works Department of the City of Saint Paul removed the curb iorn . This office approves the settlement of Mr . Alford ' s claim in the amount of $82 .20 . Claimant , Joy B. Wyatt , requests reimbursement for expenses she incurred to repair her automobile after an accident on January 13 , 1983 at Robert and Concord. The accident was caused by a malfunction in the traffic signal which showed green for all directions of traffic . This office approves the settlement of Ms . Wyatt ' s claim in the amount of $600 . 00. On October 31 , 1982 , a City of Saint Paul , Department of Police , vehicle driven by Officer Dale Kangas backed up and hit a car driven by claimant , Doug Smith. Mr . Smith ' s car was damaged as a result of the accident and we settled Mr . Smith ' s claim for $314 . 89 . This office approves the settlement of Mr. Smith ' s claim in the amount of $314 . 89. Claimants , Eric Kruse , John Lehmann , Paul Froehle , and Peter Kronschnabel , request reimbursement for earning lost during the State High School Hockey Tournament which took place at the Saint Paul Civic Center . The claimants had obtained the necessary licenses needed to sell hockey newspapers during the tournament . Members of the Saint Paul Police Department and Reserve Officers , along with a City license inspector , refused to allow the claimants to sell their papers and told them that if they did not leave the premises they would be arrested for peddling. At one point , a reserve officer arrested Mr . Kronschnabel and placed him in the back of the squad. After Mr . Kronschnabel explained to the officer that the matter had been previously discussed with Assistant City Attorney Paul McCloksey , he was released. This office approves the settlement of their claim in the amount of $561 . 75 .
