RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAINT PAUL, MINNESOTA
APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING THE FILING OF AN APPLICATION FOR AN
URBAN DEVELOPMENT ACTION GRANT FOR �$1 ,500,000 FOR THE REHAB _
ILITATION OF TH.E QLD DONALDSON'S BUILDING
WHEREAS, Saint Paul is eligible for federal assistance under the Urban Development
Action Grant Program (UDAG) administered by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban
Development; and
WHEREAS, the Saint Paul Department of Planning and Economic Development has prepared
a UDAG application for g� E. Seventh Street
; and
WHEREAS, the required public hearing upon said application has been held;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Council of the City of Saint Paul does here-
by approve the filing of the Application for an Urban Development Action Grant for
85�'E. Seventh Street
and the activities therein proposed;
AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that Mayor George Latimer, as Chief Executive Officer
of the City, is hereby authorized and directed to submit the Urban Development Action
Grant Application to the Department of Housing and Urban Development in such form as
prescribed by the regulations of said Department;
AND BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED, that the Mayor, or his designated representatives, are
further authorized to execute and submit to the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban
Development any assurance, certifications, or additional information that may be required
by said Department during their review of the City's Urban Development Action Grant and
Application for Federal Assistance for t�e rehabilitation of the old Donaldson's Building.
