What Will be Achieved by Taking Action on the Attached Materials? (Purpose/Rationale):
The City Attorney's Office has engaged the law firm of Robins, Zelle, Larson & Kaplan to
assist in defending the City in a lawsuit challenging the cable television franchise award.
Financial , Budgetary and Personnel Impacts Anticipated:
Thirty-five thousand dollars will be transferred from the Contingent Reserve Specified to
the Cable TV Franchise activity. The funds will then be transferred to the Public Utilities
Investigation Fund's Cable TV - Legislative activity.
This action has no affect on personnel.
