LOCAL iJNION NO. 455
This memorandum of understanding (MOi� is entered into on this `�`'`—� day of February 2000 by
and between the City of Saint Paul (City) and the United Association of Steamfitters and Pipefitters
Local Union No. 455 (Union) to establish a Stand By policy for certain employees in the Union
working in the Pazks & Recreation Department of the City.
Employees working inthe titie of"Pipefitter" in the City's Pazks & Recrearion Department who aze
required to be available for emergency service work on weeknights, weekends and holidays shall be
guaranteed work or wages and fringes equivalent to:
20 minutes per evening for Monday through Thursday nights
40 minutes for Friday nights
80 minutes for Saturday and Saturday night
80 minutes for Sunday and Sunday night

or
80 minutes for any holiday and holiday night of such 24-hour shift.
All of the above at time and one-half (1 %z) rate. If the employee is called in for work, the above
time shall be a part of, not in addition to, the time worked. This MOU is applicable only in the Pazks
& Recreation Department and sets no precedent. It shall be attached to the current collective
bargaining agreement but makes no other changes to that aa eement. This MOU will remain in
effect until April 30, 2002 at which time it will expire unless renewed by mutual consent of both the
City and the Union.
